The Woodward Township Volunteer Fire Company has a junior membership program. The program is open to juveniles ages 14-17.
Junior members will participate in training classes and learn all aspects of the emergency services. Junior members ages 14 and 15 may participate in training evolutions and department functions, but may not work at incident scenes. Juniors ages 16 and 17 may respond to incidents if minimum training qualifications are met. In all these circumstances juniors must abide by the PA child labor laws in regards to equipment you are able to use and the hours that you may participate. This is an excellent program for all interested in a career or to volunteer in the emergency services field. Even if you have no desire to make this a career, it is a great way to help your community and learn some valuable skills.
